Director of Operations / Director of Human Resources

Woodstock, GA

My name is April Harris. I am the Director of Operations & Human Resources. I come with more than 15 years of Executive experience. The phrase, A Rising Tide Lifts All Boats, is one I internalized early on and I utilize the concept in helping others around me reach their potential. I love creating connections and building lasting relationships and have been abundantly blessed to be mentored by exceptional individuals along the path of life.

My professional background began early as a Veteran of the United States Air Force. It grounded me to a pride for this great nation and a desire to serve those we never have the opportunity to meet.

I was blessed to work in the financial industry as a broker and business owner for over a decade. I entered this world just six months before the market crash in 2008 and it became evident serving the community in debt reduction and retirement planning supported our country at an increasingly vulnerable time. During my time there, I was able to collaborate with Central Texas College Students In Free Enterprise and Business department to start and Direct a nonprofit focused on raising up young women in the business world. It was beautiful to set up prominent women business owners as mentors to young female entrepreneurs just finding their footing.

I am the proud mom of a big family with kids spanning from adulthood to kindergarten. I will add that raising babies isn't nearly as fun as watching them become confident contributing adults. (My Abby is our Accounting Associate) But my family's whole world stood still when our youngest addition to the family was born medically fragile and he continues to amazed us with years of love light and laugher. His life teaches me to live intentionally and make each day matter.

While caring for him these last several years, my focus switched from business to volunteer work in the community and church congregation. I have been blessed to sit on multiple executive boards and immerse myself in the service of community involvement. When not working I enjoy reading a really good book and connecting over a shared meal.
